R v. SKK: [Court of King’s Bench, Edmonton – January 2025]

SUMMARY: SK was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in relation to the seizure of 12.4 kilograms of fentanyl, 235 grams of carfentanyl and 240 grams of methamphetamine from a condo in Edmonton.  A warrant was issued for the arrest of SK and Patrick Fagan orchestrated his surrender and release.  

RESULT: The matter was scheduled for a lengthy King’s Bench trial in  Edmonton but just prior to commencement of proceedings, Patrick Fagan was successful in terminating the entire prosecution by way of an entry of a Stay of Proceedings.
